Developed in collaboration with DCNS, ROBIS is an underwater robot dedicated to the internal inspections of ship ballast tanks. Equipped with a wall thickness measurement probe, a cathodic protection probe, HD video and a laser metrology system, ROBIS can swim trough consecutive manholes and reach the most confined areas. Thanks to its vectored thruster configuration, ROBIS can move laterally to optimize inspection time. The ROBIS system is to be certified by main ship class societies.
