On October 6th, Subsea Tech took part in a demonstration of surveillance, security and protection solutions using multi-drone devices at the Port Pothuau in Hyères (France). This event, a premiere in France and Europe, brought together 17 regional companies from the drone sector at the initiative of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, who came for the occasion with their marine, underwater and aerial drones. It was organised by the Pôles Mer Méditerranée, SAFE and OPTITEC clusters with the support of the Toulon Provence Méditerranée Metropolis and the City of Hyères.
Three use-cases were played out during the day and allowed us demonstrating the capacities of our SeaCAT USV and our Tortuga ROV. The SeaCAT was initially developed as part of an R&D project funded by the French Environmental Agency (ADEME) and labelled by the Pôle Mer Méditerranée cluster.
