On September 24th, Subsea Tech welcomed around a hundred visitors for an exceptional day dedicated to innovation and connections.
Technology in action
Throughout the day, our teams showcased our technologies throught demonstrations:
Submillimetric 3D Modeling
Our Mini TORTUGA XP4 ROV, equipped with the HYDRO 300 photogrammetry sensor (IVM Technologies), captured exceptionally detailed 3D models, paving the way for a wide range of applications — from industrial inspection to the preservation of underwater heritage.
Cavitation cleaning
Another highlight was our non-invasive cavitation cleaning system, integrated into the Mini TORTUGA. Fast and material-friendly, it offers an ideal solution for offshore environments.
Winning combination: SeaCAT + Tortuga
The pairing of our 6 m USV SeaCAT and the ROV TORTUGA demonstrated
the full potential of this synergy for offshore inspection missions: a high-performance, safe, and precise solution for demanding environments.
Rapid mapping with the CAT-Surveyor
Our compact USV CAT-Surveyor (3 x 1,6 m) impressed with its ability to produce detailed bathymetric maps in just a few minutes, thanks to its Norbit sonar.
Automatic monitoring of submerged structures
The Mini TORTUGA also showcased its autopilot functions (depth, heading, altitude, distance), made possible by its Oculus imaging sonar. A major asset for precise and autonomous monitoring of underwater structures.
AirCAT: unveiled in preview, already operational
Among the day’s highlights: the official launch of the AirCAT, our compact USV designed for inspection and monitoring missions.
Presented to the public for the first time during this Open Day, AirCAT is now fully integrated into our fleet and already in use by our field operations team.
With its quick deployment, excellent maneuverability, and precise data collection capabilities, it is perfectly suited for coastal and inland waters. A solution designed for mapping, inspection, and environmental monitoring in hard-to-reach or sensitive areas.
A day to dive into our world
This day was primarily an opportunity to showcase our expertise, engage directly with everyone interested in our technologies, and demonstrate how we design, test, and use our solutions in the field.
