Insight Scanners Lasers sous-marins

Sub-millimetric 3D reconstruction underwater solution

3D Scan

Why laser ?

Capture the most precise measurements and obtain highly detailed 3D point cloud model representations that far exceed the resolution of sonar, resulting in superior accuracy and greater knowledge of an asset’s condition.

Operation

The scanner laser projects a line of laser light onto the target object. Based on the light reflected from this line, the scanner calculates a high resolution 2D profile of points in 3D space. By accumulating a series of profiles, the scanner is able to obtain a 3D point cloud representation of the surface of the target object.

Products

Insight Nano (formerly ULS-100/200)

The Insight Nano is a compact laser scanner designed for easy 3D modelling. The integrated actuator and an intuitive user interface allow for high quality, non-intrusive inspection without external sensors.
The system is capable of integrating with a wide range of carriers, including inspection-grade ROVs and crawlers, to provide very high resolution data in confined spaces such as pipelines, tunnels and tanks.

Insight Micro (formerly ULS-500 Micro)

The Insight Micro allows small carriers to perform very high resolution inspections, incorporating extremely accurate laser data. Compact and energy efficient, the Insight Micro offers up to 7m range and can be easily and quickly integrated into many ROV and AUV models. Images and laser data are processed and enhanced in real-time for use in machine learning applications.

Insight Pro (formerly ULS-500 PRO)

The Insight Pro is a long-range laser scanner designed for 3D modelling over large areas from dynamic and static platforms. Its proven design has been deployed since 2013 and has modelled over 10,000 km of subsea pipelines, seabed and subsea structures.
Insight Pro has been integrated into countless AUVs and ROVs, including a control interface compatible with most standard vehicle navigation systems.
Real-time data processing allows for the development of machine learning applications such as fault detection and pipeline tracking.
